Do you ever wish you can go back in time? Like maybe grab a time-turner and reset an embarrassing scene with your crush or even just go back to yesterday and guess the winning lottery numbers? Spring Flower Autumn Moon also known as Love Better Than Immortality 天雷一部之春花秋月 seems to use time travel as a means to find true love. The story is set in a futuristic era where the use of VR (virtual reality) can bring about extraordinary possibilities.
In this 40-episode web drama, Chun Hua, played by the lovely Zhao Lusi, is discontented with a life without love and subjects herself to an unusual adventure. She finds herself waking up in a completely different timeline where the first man she will see is to become her true love. She is bewildered because the last thing she remembers is sleeping in her Mickey Mouse-themed pajamas but wakes up wearing something, er, traditional. She has been brought back in time to a place of wuxia heroes and villains.
Chun Hua finds herself entangled in a complicated love story between two men who are mortal enemies: Li Hongyi plays Shangguan Qiuyue, an arrogant and aggressive man who means to wreak havoc in the pugilistic world. Wu Junyu plays Xiao Bai, a man who is gentle, kind and fights for the side of good. Between love at first sight and a love that is strengthened over time, Chun Hua’s love story begins.
Hmm, I sense a lot of bickering between Chun Hua and Qiuyue because I bet he’ll be partly annoyed with her bright and carefree personality yet my intuition is telling me that it’s the same reason why he will fall for her. I’m already having some romantic chills thinking about it! But since I’ve my fair share of time-travel dramas, I’m really dreading the ending of this.
Interestingly, Li Hongyi and Zhao Lusi has recently starred in the Republican drama Prodigy Healer so fans are most likely delighted with this new project. Although, it seems their pairing is not so simple this time. Even though it’s an obvious re-tandem of the two, the official posters really play up the love triangle. Spring Flower Autumn Moon is based on the title of the first installment of Tian Lei Yi Bu (天雷一部) series so maybe if this is received well, we can expect a sequel? Hmm, I certainly hope so!
Aside from Zhao Lusi, Li Hongyi and Wu Junyu, it also stars Jiang Yuan, Liu Yitong and Sheng Huizi.

This is such a cute drama. Sure there wasn't much to the plot. But I only watched the couple. So cute. I can watched this drama just for this couple.?
