Ashes of Love star Andy Yang Zi‘s career has nowhere to go but up. Recently, the actress celebrated another milestone in her career by having her image immortalised as a wax figure in Beijing’s Madame Tussauds Wax Museum. As you know, only popular icons, celebrities and royals get their own wax figures so her wax double is in good company with the Queen, the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge, Li Bingbing, George Clooney, and even President Obama.

Yang Zi’s career hasn’t always been a bed of roses and she’s had to struggle in the past to get roles in productions. But thanks to her success in Ashes of Love, she has been receiving a lot of love from audiences. This year, her commercial bankability has further received an extra stamp of approval in the form of her very own Madame Tussauds wax figure which she unveiled earlier this week.

What do you guys think? While Madame Tussauds in general have realistic lifelike wax replicas, it’s also been criticized in the past for missing the mark.
I can’t quite put my finger to it, but Yang Zi’s representation simply doesn’t do her justice IMHO – maybe the face needs further sharpening and definition to make it more lifelike? Don’t get me wrong, it’s not a bad representation as some celebrities, but there’s something missing. In any case, it’s definitely a huge honour for her and selfie loving fans should take the opportunity to be photographed with the actress’ (fraternal) wax twin which she’s named Andy Aoao.

IMO it's kinda bland and doesn't fit her outgoing personality. Shoulda waxed her as Jinmi but oh well, it is what it is.

Love her… regardless…

The wax don't really look like her, I wouldn't complain about the posing. Luckily she came in with the same type of bangs like her wax so they kind of look the same.

My thoughts exactly! I also think it's the smile. Yang Zi's natural smile lights up her whole face and the wax figure didn't capture that.
