We Are Young 青春创世纪 held its boot ceremony yesterday, on April 28. Directed by Chen Fei Hong and produced by bigwig film maker Chen Kaige, the 45-episode drama about entrepreneurship in the millennial generation stars Huang Jinyu as fuerdai Duan Ran who runs his own e-commerce business. Many of you might recognise him from his swoon-worthy roles in Moonshine and Valentine and Addicted.
Wu Jinyan costars as Duan Ruan’s hardworking childhood friend Qian Xixi. This makes the third modern drama that she has filmed since she shot to fame as the breakout star last summer with Story of Yanxi Palace.
