Hmmm it seems the c-industry currently has a thing for men in (military) uniforms as iQIYI brings out Anti-Terrorism Special Forces: The Wolves 反恐特战队之天狼 which is coming out at the end of the month. The third installment to the Anti-Terrorism Special Forces franchise, the new season is a 48 episode “techie” anti-terrorism military drama about two men, closer than brothers who find themselves at opposing sides in the fight against terror.
Qin Xiaoyang, played by actor Yang Xuwen and Tang Shi, played by Wei Chen, grew up together like brothers. Due to an unfortunate incident, the two were separated, ending up to follow different roads in life. Qin Xiaoyang joins the elite special unit for military intelligence and manages to successfully infiltrate Hell’s Gate – an international terror organisation’s platform. He soon faces off with his old buddy Tang Shi.
The series also stars actress Dai Si who we’ll also be seeing in another national defense type of drama in Storm Eye which is currently still shooting. Judy Zhou Tingyi, Li Youbin and Shi Zhaoqi are also set to have supporting roles in the drama.
In what is sure to be an action packed drama, who will win in the age old fight between good and evil? What relationships will be destroyed, forged and rekindled? If military intrigue is your cup of tea (as well as a huge helping of kick ass men and women in uniform), be sure to tune in as it premieres next week.
