The Story of Minglan 知否知否应是绿肥红瘦 headlined by real life couple Zhao Liying and Feng Shaofeng is ending very soon. It could have ended earlier, but Hunan TV has the tendency to tinker with episodes to suit their needs. Hence, the Minglan finale has been split in two and extends to tomorrow, giving a nice lead in for tonight’s premiere of Unbeatable You.
In spite of that, Minglan has reached a series high the previous night (Feb 11) as it breaks 2.053% in CSM 55 ratings and 1.625% in CSM Nationwide. I have to admit the latest developments in the drama have been increasingly frustrating just because the good guys are being trampled on by lies and nonsense. I really hope the wait is worth it because revenge against the baddies is best served cold after all. On the bright side, ratings are kicking butt! It’s been a while since a drama has crossed 2%.
Update: I guess I’m not the only one annoyed with Hunan TV’s treatment of the finale. Netizens are openly criticizing the network on social media for splitting an episode across two days.

I feel the complete enjoyment of this drama is affected by the slicing and dicing of Hunan TV. Some eps has 20mins, some 30 mins. It is just ridiculous. I felt it is better to just wait per week to watch it. At least it beats the crumbs Hunan TV threw at us.

what's going to happen to Hunnan reputation? Thought the only 1 good thing about this drama is bc of the fact that it is airing on Hunnan.
