Princess Silver 白发王妃 which is Youhug’s newest historical drama has wrapped on Aug 14 after 121 days of filming. With this coming from the makers of Ice Fantasy, the white-hair or should I say silver is back along with familiar stars like Zhang Meng who has come onboard as the producer! The concept about the white-haired princess is what really caught my attention. I’m curious to know the back story because if past experiences have taught us anything, it’s usually overwhelming grief that causes a young woman to grow a full head of white hair overnight.
Sophie Zhang (Summer’s Desire) plays the princess who is arranged to be married to the prince played by Aarif Lee (Legend of the Ancient Sword 2). He rejects her at first only to fall in love with her anyway. I feel like the show is on the spotlight for the wrong reasons due to Sophie Zhang being accused as the reason behind Yang Zi and Qin Junjie’s breakup. Sophie’s studio has denied it and even Yang Zi has spoken up for her, but it may take a while for the whole thing to blow over.
Also in the cast are Jing Chao (Here to Heart), Leo Luo Yunxi (Ashes of Love) and Maggie Chen Xinyu (Delicious Destiny).

So Luo Yunxi is again playing the second male lead who tried to have the kingdom and the beauty but failed… I know the actor has a melancholic face but I think it's torture that he's playing the same type of character again *sigh*.

I read that this drama is an adaptation of the novel "The White-haired Imperial Concubine". The reason the heroine has white hair, later in the book, is because she, ahem, mated excessively with her husband in front of the army under the order of the second male lead as a way to humilaite him in front of his nation. However, the second male lead didn't know it was with heroine the husband made love, so he pretty much lost her forever.

OMGGGG. REALLY? So General Fu not only gave her the scorpion poison but did it with Rong Le in front of the army and Wu You?! WTF?! That is messed up on a whole other level. This makes me want to read the novel because the drama version seems so different. I just finished the show last week and I found myself rooting for General Fu up until he poisoned Rong Le but I would hate General Fu FOREVER if he did this.

Sucks that Luo Yunxi is stuck in second lead role but at least he is moving up to main cast. I think he is doing a really good job on HSALF so far. I hope he gets some 1st lead roles in the future.

Yang Zi denied Sophie Zhang being a third party. So i really hope it's not true that QJJ get together with her after being in a drama together. Was her liking a video recent? She should be more cautious or else Cnetz are gonna drag her left and right.

If its true, Yang Zi has been hinting it since the beginning of the year. She went on a variety show and said she dreamed that Qin Junjie cheated on her with a co-star and even had a wedding (and QJJ was filming Summer Desire at that time).
If its not true, it just means Yang Zi is an attention seeker and uses people to gain attention and sympathy for herself. Many said she is trying to be a "liu liang" like Yang Mi, Zhao Liying and Zheng Shuang so this might be one of her tactics.

Nice to see Luo Yunxi here. He's gaining alot of attention in Xiang Mi. If this keeps up, he's going to be the breakout star. I hope he gets some leading roles in ancient dramas soon. He has the perfect vibe and aura for it.
Aarif and Zhang Xueying looks good too. This is gonna be such a visual feast.

Absolutely, agree with u about Luo Yunxi. I really like him after watching his acting through my sunshine, fox in screen and now HSALF. He's really great at acting on so many role. I really hope to see him as main lead and main cast in future drama too.
