It’s sweetness overload for Shan Cai and Dao Mingsi as they spend most of the time together. All the waiting and back and forth has paid off guys, until the next hurdle! Meanwhile, Ximen agrees to date Xiaoyou (we’re not sure if it’s out of pity or out of love), and I can’t say that it’s going well.

Let’s date. The day after the party, Xiaoyou waits for Ximen outside his house and apologizes for what happened the night before. Ximen wants them to stay as friends, but Xiaoyou doesn’t care and wants him to date her like his girlfriend. She also wants him to hug and kiss her. After saying this, she runs away, leaving Ximen standing there and not knowing what to do.
Ximen ponders over what Xiaoyou said and a few days later, he calls her up to ask her out. Things start out well until the waiter then brings a dessert with the numbers 1573 on it. Our Chinese friends know what this means — yi wang qing shen 一往情深 or being deeply in love. However, it is not what Ximen means at all since the numbers represent his room number! He takes Xiaoyou up to his room. Xiaoyou fidgets nervously the whole time and Ximen picks up on this and leaves. He can still be a gentleman after all.
Before Ximen walks out the door, he tells her that all love lead to regret. Xiaoyou asks about it and Ximen snaps out of nowhere, telling her that she’s very rude to pry. Ximen is quite scary when he gets mad.

Lei’s back. As soon as Lei flies back from Taiwan, he and Shan Cai meet unexpectedly in their secret hideout — the rooftop. Lei tells her that he feels lonely now that she’s dating Dao Mingsi because Shan Cai remains very special to him, just maybe not in a romantic way. Before Lei leaves, Shan Cai shouts out that she liked him before. It’s good to get something out of the chest sometimes to find closure.

Personal bodyguard. One night, a thief attempts to break into Shan Cai’s house. She accidentally dials Dao Mingsi’s number amidst all the commotion and as soon as Dao Mingsi hears her screaming, he runs all the way to her house to make sure she’s safe. Luckily, she is not harmed but Dao Mingsi gets a little too worried that the next day, he has rented the house beside Shan Cai’s just to keep an eye on her.
As much as Dao MIngsi wants to be with Shan Cai every second of the day, the bodyguards sent by his mother won’t allow. He sneaks out of the house during the most ungodly hours just to check on Shan Cai but Shan Cai, not knowing that he comes by from 1AM to 5AM, thinks that he doesn’t come by anymore.
On one of the nights, she catches him outside and tells him to go back to his mansion instead. Dao Mingsi explains himself which makes Shan Cai guilty for being such a burden. Later on, she asks Dao Mingsi if he wants to sleep over, and they do sleep together (with clothes on!). It’s really cute to see these two in love.

An excellent plan. People say that the safest places are the most dangerous ones. Dao Mingsi concludes the same so one night, when the bodyguards grew restless and began to wait outside Shan Cai’s house, Dao Mingsi takes her home, to his room. His sister is also back from London and catches them kissing. She’s really supportive of their relationship.
