Andy Lau and Fox Asia have teamed up for The Trading Floor 东方华尔街. It is an original mini-series that stars award-winning Hong Kong actor Francis Ng (Shed Skin Papa), Taiwanese actor Joseph Chang (The Big Call) and Chinese actress Yu Nan (Wolf Warriors 2).

The concept posters was released recently and it looks amazing. Hong Kong star Andy Lau has been making a name for himself behind the screen and nurturing new talents.
This 5-episode financial drama is the first high-end original series by Fox Asia. The drama will revolve around greed and plots behind the stock market. The story will be set against the backdrop of Hong Kong and span the first 20 years after the British handed Hong Kong over to China. It was also mentioned that the storytelling will be different than what the audience is used to. I am curious how they will fit 20 years worth of stories into a five part series about an hour long.

Francis Ng will portray an economics professor while Joseph Chang will play his protege. They will be leading a team of experts like themselves hoping to conquer the financial market. Who will emerge victorious?
It is Fox Asia’s first attempt to create original content for Asia following HBO’s success with its first Chinese language original series, The Psychic. It also stars Patrick Tam, Poon Chan Leung, Maggie Cheung Ho-yee with younger and newer faces like Jacky Cai (Paradox) and Jiang Qilin (Go Princess Go) making an appearance.
Release Date: May 24, 2018 Tencent (one episode every Thursday at 8pm)
