Medical Examiner Dr Qin 2 法医秦明2清道夫 is definitely looking like it will be just as gripping as the first one. The original trio consisted of three leads, Zhang Ruo Yun (The Fated General), Li Xian (Only Side By Side With You) and Jiao Jun Yan (Tong Tian Detective Dee) started a sleeper hit that won best web drama in the 2016 Sohu Fashion Award, so our new cast will definitely need to up the ante.
The sequel will be led by Liu Dong Qin (Dongshan Fine After Queen Consort The Snow) as our forensic expert genius, Qin Ming, Liu Chang (The King’s Woman) as the policeman, Lin Tao, and Yu Sha Sha (Imperial Doctress) as the ever so trust-worthy assistant, Chen Shiyu.
The stills already come off a little darker and more intense than the first installment which I prefer since it is a crime thriller after all though the first one saved the intensity for the actual drama which depending on your propensity for gore can be hard to stomach. We’ll have to wait until the show starts to see how their chemistry on set will be.

I just finished season 1 like 3 weeks ago and was sad to hear that they are not returning for a season 2. I miss the old cast. Loved their chemistry together! Even though there was only minimal, minimal romance, but something was definitely there! Loved the cases too.
