Remember how we posted the first stills of New Horizons 壮志高飞 here last November 2017? This aviation drama stars Joe Chen (The Legendary Tycoon), Ryan Zheng Kai (Long Time No See), Zhu Zi Xiao (Love in Hanyuan), Eva Lu Yi (The Legend of Dugu), Hu Bing (Stairway to Stardom) and Zhao Ziqi (In the Name of People).
This 47-episode drama tells the story of Xiao Mo (played by Ryan Zheng Kai), a pilot turned engineer, who accidentally killed Xia Yu’s (played by Zhu Zi Xiao) mom. Two years later, Xiao Mo returns to flying and meets Xia Yu who’s set to inherit the airline empire. The plot gets a little more complicated when they find themselves falling for Wu Di, the flight attendant turned pilot, (played by Joe Chen).
Given the theme, netizens have compared this show to a popular Hong Kong drama, Triumph in the Skies, which has been dubbed as TVB’s best drama series.
