Hao Lan Zhuan 皓镧传 is Yu Zheng’s next drama after Yanxi Strategy. It just wrapped up filming this April 9th and it stars Wu Jin Yan (Untouchable Lovers), Mao Zi Jun (The Destiny of White Snake), Nie Yuan (The Legend of Xiao Zhuang), Karina Hai Ling (Hero’s Dream), Ning Jing (The Qin Empire 3) with special appearances by Wang Zhi Fei (The Flowers and Distant Place) and Tong Meng Shi (Basketball Fever).
It is a period drama with jealousy, danger and death. I am not really a big fan of period dramas but seeing the first promotional photos with the awesome costume and set design got me intrigued. It doesn’t look like anything like the usual period dramas that my dad used to watch from way back when.

It's definitely striking to look at but the problem with Yu Zheng is visuals seem to be more important to him than anything else.
