The Lost Swordship 飘香剑雨 is a 36-episode Chinese drama adapted from a novel by Gu Long 古龙. It revolves around a martial arts expert who experiences defeat in the hands of his enemies and gains the help of an old man (as they always seem to in any wuxia novel). He joins the righteous alliance and embarks on a journey to become a true hero.
It stars Wu You, Ren Yan Kai, Gao Guang Ze, Xiao Yan and Tang Jing Jing. As a fan of wuxia series, I’m keeping an eye out for the next production that can represent how wonderfully kickass the genre can be. Legend of the Condor Heroes 2017 was a decent adaptation despite the lack of big names. I’m not familiar with any of the cast members in this and maybe that’s a good thing.
