On December 4, the South Australian Tourism Commission has appointed Chinese actor Huang Xiaoming as their Global Tourism Ambassador through a press conference. Along with the announcement comes a batch of promos following him as he does all the touristy stuff in places like Adelaide, Adelaide Hills, McLaren Vale, Kangaroo Island and the Eyre Peninsula.
Huang Xiaoming also said this on weibo, “Very honored to take up the position as the Global Tourism Ambassador of South Australia, for allowing me the opportunity to visit and relax in this place of magnificent beauty away from a fast-paced life. South Australia will satisfy your every wish in a journey, I’m waiting for you in Adelaide!” I get that his appointment is geared towards pulling in more Chinese tourists but hey, I’m already sold. Take me there!
