After iQiYi Scream Night 2018 comes another celebration as the Tencent Star Awards 2017 was held last night. Zhang Yixing took home Album of the Year for his first studio album Lay 02 Sheep and became the talk of the town after he suddenly kneeled during his acceptance speech.
Upon taking the stage he said, “Oh, first off, thank you to Tencent Star Awards for giving me this award in music, thank you to China Economic Publishing House for releasing the album, thank you to each and every staff of Zhang Yixing Studio, thank you to my XBack, so happy. To the members that are far away, I also miss you, thank you, thank you to everyone who has helped me and love me. Thank you everyone. Thank you!” He then gave a deep bow to the crowd and in the heat of the moment got down on his knees and bowed until his lips touched the floor.
With every positive reaction from those who supported him, there would be some negative ones. Zhang Yixing later posted on weibo, “Because I’m happy, because I like it, I loved it too much and couldn’t help myself, is it so hard to understand?” Aw, I’m happy for him and still happy that he mentioned EXO.
