There’s a new winner in town as ER Doctors led by veteran actor Zhang Jia Yi tops both tv rankings and web rankings within its first week. China Rescue and Salvage is at times sandwiched between the simultaneous broadcasts of ER as it comes in third while Ordinary Person Character and Special Duty Elite are middling at best with ratings barely past 0.5%. There’s also Hu Ge’s comeback drama Game of Hunting scheduled to air beginning Nov 6, so that ought to shake things up in the coming weeks.
Starry Night Starry Sea Season 2 ended its run quietly followed by an even quieter premiere with An Yue Xi and Chen Ruo Xuan’s idol drama The Endless Love eking out 0.42% and dropping to 0.16% as of last Sunday. The same can be said for The Legendary Tycoon and Tong Tian Detective Dee as both are stuck in the low 0.1%-0.2% range. At least Xuan Yuan Sword: Legend of the Han Clouds is back on the air.
