The drama adaptation of Never Gone 致青春·原来你还在这里 is in the thick of filming and despite reservations that the 30-year-old Yang Zishan won’t look as youthful compared to her leading man Elvis Han who’s 25, the first stills show a visually compatible pair. Seriously, everyone looks so good, and it’s nice that the production team has brought in a younger cast to portray the main characters’ younger selves.
The role of Su Yun Jin which was initially played by Crystal Liu in the 2015 movie adaptation is played by Yang Zishan. Her younger counterpart is played by 18-year-old Li Lan Di who coincidentally also played Elvis Han’s leading lady in Monster Killer 2.
The role of Cheng Zheng initially played by Kris Wu in the 2015 movie adaptation is portrayed by Elvis Han. His younger counterpart is played by 17-year-old Hu Xian Xu.
The role of Zhou Zi Yi which was portrayed by Jin Shi Jia in the movie is played by Tan Jian Ci (better known as JC-T from the c-pop boyband MIC). His younger counterpart is played by child actor Bian Cheng who’s only 13 years old.
The role of Mo Yu Hua initially played by Li Meng in the movie is portrayed by Su Qing. Her younger counterpart is played by Teresa Li Geng Xi.
