Legend of Fuyao 扶摇皇后 held a presscon today (Asia time) in Beijing where Yang Mi and Ethan Ruan showed a glimpse of what’s to come by reenacting a scene from the drama, and then switching up the gender roles so that she played the guy and vice versa (see video).
The cast in attendance include Yang Mi, Ethan Ruan, Vengo Gao, Liu Yi Jun, Wang Jing Song, Lion Lai Yi, Zhang Yaqin, Gao Hanyu and Huang Youming.
Goddess Yang Mi plays the titular lead as Fuyao and acts as the vanguard of the five continents. She looks beautiful as always except for her outfit (it’s just…… bad??).
Ethan Ruan plays her partner in pioneering the five continents and also her love interest. He strolls out effortlessly in a suit jacket and white sneakers from the Neil Barrett 2017 Fall/Winter Collection that is not cheap at all.
Vengo Gao stands next to Zhang Yaqin who will be playing a lady endlessly pining after him (it’s like Ten Miles of Peach Blossoms again?)
We get more male cast members that include Lion Lai Yi and Gao Hanyu.
Wang Jing Song and Liu Yi Jun share a frame together, which is so fitting as both are superb actors who frequent the historical genre to play powerful roles, most notably Nirvana in Fire.

Tian Xia Gui Yuan 天下归元 who authored the source novel also attended the event to share her thoughts on the drama, and wow, she’s so pretty too! From the pen name, I didn’t even know that she was female.
I know that we all want to know when this will air, but realistically speaking, it’s probably not going to be anytime soon as the drama is still in the midst of filming since it began on June 27, 2017. Meanwhile, the show has dropped two more posters to appease our cravings.

Agreed, what the heck is YM wearing?? I'm surprised because usually I love her outfits (whether it's on the red carpet, fashion weeks, or casual).
Oh well, doesn't matter because what's important is her styling in the drama is SO perfect! They also released a new poster of her character in a light blue outfit and the clothing/hair looks fantastic. Best styling she's had in a drama so far, IMO! I'm so excited for this.
(Kinda mixed on the second female lead though–never heard of her before and she looks rather plain in these pics. But she does look cute in the stills so I'll wait and see. It seems like there aren't that many female characters in this one? Which is too bad because I loved how many great secondary female characters/actresses there were in 3L3W. Especially Dilireba who was so gorgeous and adorable!)
