Never Gone 致青春·原来你还在这里 which was made into a 2015 film starring Kris Wu and Crystal Liu is getting a drama adaptation, and it has recently unveiled Yang Zishan and Elvis Han as the main leads.
The two are quite close in age to their film counterparts with Yang Zishan (30) being only a year older than Crystal Liu (29). However, she just seems to bring a mature vibe that I’m not sure will fit a romance drama that begins during the school days. In fact, the story is based on a novel written by Xin Yiwu 辛夷坞 whose works have been adapted into the So Young 致青春 drama and movies, since well, it has a very youth-oriented theme.

Then again, I’m really glad to see Lam Yuk Fan onboard as the Director. She’s been my favorite director ever since Ten Miles of Peach Blossoms, not to mention that she also had a hand in directing Scarlet Heart and Just One Smile is Very Alluring.

Elvis Han plays the guy who relentlessly chases after Yang Zishan’s character, breaking down all the walls that she’s put up to protect herself, so it’ll be interesting to see whether what their chemistry will bring. The filming ceremonies were literally just held today (Asia time) and it was attended by Yang Zishan (Red Rose), Elvis Han (Siege in Fog), Li Cheng Bin, Lan Ying Ying (Surgeons), Li Lan Di (Monster Killer 2), Hu Xian Xu (Old Boy) and Li Geng Xi.
