A Chinese Odyssey: Love of Eternity 大话西游之爱你一万年 is hyped for being popular idol Huang Zitao’s much-awaited drama debut. It also brings to life the drama adaptation of a classic movie that follows a story about finding romance be it up in the heavens or in the human realm, five hundred years earlier or five hundred years later.
The upcoming webdrama kept being rumored to premiere soon and that time has finally come as it will air Thursday, September 28, 2017 on iQiYi, LeTV, Tencent QQ, Mango TV. Accompanying ‘Monkey King’ Huang Zitao on this unconventional journey to the west are Yin Zheng, Zhao Yi, Liu Tian Zuo, Du Ruo Xi, Wen Xin, Jiang Long, Ye Liu and Yang Jun Cheng.
Inasmuch as I plan to check this out for Tao, I’m really looking forward to seeing Yin Zheng. His was amazingly evil in Sparrow, and it’ll be interesting to see him as Tang San Monk.

Yay, finally a set date. Tao's film project's premiere dates just keep getting pushed back, I almost feared this one would only start airing next year. Anyway, the trailer looked fun, i hope that the whole CGI won't be too horrible, since it's a web drama, I'm guessing the budget wasn't too high, so I sincerely hope the team behind the drama knows how too keep it realistic, not exaggerating and trying to make too much use of the green screen, or whatever other tools are used. And of course I wish upon it success, but the quality takes priority.
