The King of Blaze 火王之破晓之战 is a 28-episode Chinese fantasy wuxia adapted from a Taiwanese manhua by You Su-Lan. It was a bestselling comic during the early 90’s that continued to enjoy widespread popularity when it entered the Chinese market in 2004, which is why anticipation is building for its drama adaptation that brings together Chen Bolin (The Dreaming Man) and Jing Tian (Glory of Tang Dynasty).
He is a sought-after actor whose works include the much-loved romance drama In Time With You opposite Ariel Lin. She is a Chinese actress who has been foraying into Hollywood with moves like The Great Wall and Kong: Skull Island. It’s their first time working together, and it’ll be interesting how these two bring to life the fantastical characters of God of Fire and the God of Wind and the complicated romance that comes with it.
Zhang Yijie (Untouchable Lovers), Lai Yumeng (Go! Goal! Fighting), Fan Shiqi (Where The Lost Ones Go) and Sun Shaolong (Let’s Fall In Love) also join the cast.
Thousands of years ago, there was a beautiful planet amongst the stars where the deities lived. The second part of the story which takes place in the modern day will have 33 episodes.
