After the web drama Bu Liang Ren 画江湖之不良人 last year comes another one starring Yang Xu Wen (Legend of Condor Heroes) and Mao Xiao Tong (Delicious Destiny). It seems like an upgrade whichever way you look at it given the cast and production value, but the outfits still look cartoonish bad to me.
The drama combines the events of season 1 and 2 from the animated series to tell the story of an organization called Bu Liang Ren. Guo Xiao Ting and Li Jun Chen make up the second couple pairing. I have no idea who the male actor is but he’s sporting the silver-haired look that’s instantly attractive.
Below are more stills of the cast from Gan Ting Ting playing an Empress to the rest of the side characters. What do you think of the costumes? Are they faithful to the original?

now, that you mention it, I see it too. But yes, that's an online game and this is the entire drama so I'm not so sure it works. I just checked out the original and it's actually quite close in terms of styling and costumes, guess it's really meant to look like that >.<
