The rest of the shows seem to still be in the process of gaining its footing as rankings jump all over the place. The nationalistic Deepwater Forces bowed out in first with ratings of 1.010% on its last day.

Onto non-primetime (shows that air at 10pm), the days of extraordinary numbers have gone with Princess Agents, and everybody seems to be middling around the same range. My Mr. Mermaid is faring the best at this rate, which is odd since I expected more from The King’s Woman, Xuan Yuan Sword and Lost Love in Times. Perhaps fans are historical drama’d out because there are so many choices or they just need time.
Monster Killer 2 rose to sixth on its first week of airing, which is well within expectations when you consider this.
The above are mostly primetime shows that air at 19:30 while those highlighted in blue air at 22:00. **Rankings are overall rankings across the shows airing on the same night, regardless of air time. ***Some items were left in blank above because the latest ratings were not available at the time that this post was written.

maybe china viewers now prefer actresses with baby faces.

Maybe more realistic dramas like My Mr Mermaid are now becoming more popular. Many are probably tired of the same old overused unbelievable drama tropes. In china, the big hit of 2017 was actually In The Name Of The People.

It doesn't surprise me that none of the dramas are pulling big ratings. I saw the first episode of a few of the new dramas and they weren't good. Guess I will have to wait until the next batch of dramas. The good thing with cdramas they usually end pretty fast.

I'm really enjoying The King's Woman. I hope ratings go up but I think that's quite good for the first week on Zhejiang TV. I think it would score better if it had more episodes a week. Daily dramas tend to better than weekly drama.
I don't think My Mr Mermaid success is a surprise! Glossy youth drama with a bunch of hot shirtless guys and lots of bromance and romance during the summer holidays when the students are off school is a guaranteed hit!
Princess Agents is an anomaly. I don't think it can be compared to anything and the hype for that was crazy and building for like a year! It's a shame it was such a letdown in everything but the acting department.
