Legend of Yun Xi 芸汐传 held their opening ceremonies in Hengdian, China on July 10 and we finally get to meet the entire ensemble headlining this upcoming youthful idol drama.
Ju Jing Yi (Detective Samoyeds), Zhang Zhe Han (Chao Ge), Merxat Mi Re (Demon Girl), Lin Si Yi (Fighter of the Destiny), Xu Jiaqi, Deng Cue Cong, Liu Jiong Ran, Xie Lei Lei, Wang You Shuo and Lu Xing Yu (Legend of Chusen) attended the event and even wore matching Yunxi shirts as a show of solidarity.
Given that this is being produced by Shanghai Star 48 Culture and Media Group, it hardly comes as a surprise that all the female roles went to members of either SNH48 or its sister group GNZ48. It would seem like there are too many of them but not really, not when all of the SNH48 subgroups combined add up to over a hundred ladies.

As the heroine, Ju Jing Yi reported for work a couple days early to begin learning proper palace etiquette. She also revealed that she filmed her wedding on the first day all by herself. Over on the men’s side, Zhang Zhe Han will be playing Long Feiye and Merxat Mi Re will be playing Gu Qishao as though to relive their rivalry from Demon Girl.

Lin Si Yi may have been in only two dramas so far and in supporting roles at that, but she was such a wonderful addition as the black dragon with so much spunk in Fighter of Destiny. She takes on a completely different role this time as Ning Jing, a character that really fits her in personality and meek just like her name. Lastly, Xu Jiaqi will be playing Concibune Qing aka Chu Qing Ge.
