The stars of Secret of the Three Kingdoms 三国机密 have just finished filming and already, we get to see the first batch of stills featuring Ma Tianyu, Elvis Han, Wan Qian, Dong Jie, Sunny Wang Yang Ming, Xie Jun Hao, etc.
I am watching Advisors Alliance religiously and enjoying it for the politics and mind games potrayed by older actors, and I love that this one seems to bring the same vibe except with so much hotness to go around. Needless to say, this one is pretty high up on my list even though it can feel like another one of the same thing.
I’m frankly overloaded with the number of Monkey King adaptations out there, but this drama shakes up history to come up with something fresh. Ma Tianyu plays Liu Xie, a character portrayed in Advisors Alliance as the good-for-nothing Emperor who falls to his knees at the slightest provocation from Cao Cao. Since Liu Xie is the protagonist here, it’ll be interesting to see the kind of person that they make him out to be. And what of Elvis Han who plays Si Ma Yi?
