Princess Agents reached a CSM52 series high of 2.1% and also managed to cross the 2.0 mark in all five nationwide CSM nationwide benchmarks. It’s certainly a huge deal, but not unexpected especially from a ratings magnet like Zhao Li Ying.
Many look to Journey of Flower for comparison, which actually broke past 2.0 as early as episode 16 and surged past 3.0 at one point. The 2.0 mark may have come later for Princess Agents considering that it has already aired thirty over episodes, but I only see it rising to greater heights with developments that point to an impending reunion between Yuwen Yue and Chu Qiao.
So it seems like I’m always going to be talking about Princess Agents and then whatever show that is on air, but I think we’re starting to see a pretty solid lineup within the top 5. Rush to the Dead Summer has become the undisputed primetime winner followed by a tossup between Advisors Alliance and My Ruby My Love.
Surprisingly, A Life Time Love which has the disadvantage of airing only twice a week moves up even further to place in fifth. It is pulling in numbers in the 0.7%-0.8% range as of last week and it’ll be interesting to see if it can break 1.0. I’d call it a feat since the show is going head to head against the increasingly popular Princess Agents.
On the celeb list, Lin Gengxin comes second only to his leading lady Zhao Li Ying while Luhan who has no show airing at the moment is still within the top three.

Yan Xun's current mopey, deadpan trajectory is pretty boring for me. I found more pathos in his mother's speech during that unnecessarily prolonged sentencing fiasco than the current impasse. I need us to move into the thick of him implementing his revenge. War! Blood! Guts! Retribution! (Poor baby. But still)
However, What caught me by surprise this week is how compelling I found the reveal of what the Eyes of God is – not a ring of skilled martial artists like I (and Yuwen Huai assumed), but rather, an extensive intelligence-gathering operation.
I've always liked Yuwen Yue, but now, knowing how many dangerous and explosive secrets he acts as a guardian for added (for me) a much-needed gravitas to his character, layered him and as more than just a tsundere, and put his stoic, taciturn, acting-behind-the-scenes-personality into perspective. Seeing how much intrigue he lives with, I understand more why he is the way he is.
Even so, I really need this damn plot to MOOOOOOOOVE! There is sooooooo much story to cover, and we are more than halfway through. Why have we not met the prince of Liang or started our rebellion yet? Why is Chu Qiao not leading a troop of soldiers to conquer yet?
Ugh this is giving me General and I flashbacks, and that is NOT a good thing!
Also: whatever happened to Xiaoqi and Xiaoba?
(And they need to NEVER use the same CGI company ever again).

My sentiments exactly, YX's mom is such a good actress, her grief/speech is so memorable, YX does seem sad, but in a helpless, lost puppy way, not in avenging/hatred way that will help move the story along
Poor YWY, so misunderstood, lol, he's so caught in the middle between obeying/protecting his strict but beloved grandpa & helping his best friends YX/XE, him being groomed from childhood to take on such a big responsibility of Eyes of God & the YW Green Hill compound understandably will make any person develop an ice prince personality
I can hardly wait until XE/YWY to reconcile their misunderstandings, to me, XE/YWY's chemistry is more OTP/romantic, vs XE/YX's more sibling/family chemistry, I want to watch romance, lol
