It’s easy to figure out what each of these celebs have in common that they’re conquering magazine spreads in recent months because whether you are a fan of Ode to Joy, Princess Agents or A Lost Love in Times, these are THE shows to watch and it’s kind of a relief that they’re not airing all at once.
William Chan and Cecilia Liu Shi Shi appear on the dual covers of Cosmopolitan (sold here and here) for the month of July, which should roughly coincide with the premiere of their upcoming historical drama Lost Love in Times.
Both are playing up the cool and edgy look, a concept that falls right within William Chan’s comfort zone rather than Cecilia Liu’s who often reminds me of a dainty ballerina, which she actually is. I have to give it to her though because she simply owns it in going for that avant garde style. Interestingly, it is also her first time modelling for Cosmopolitan, which happens to be her third major magazine after Marie Claire and Harper’s Bazaar.
Meanwhile, Zhao Li Ying is all the rage because of her hit drama Princess Agents. Magazines seem to be clamouring for her, one of which puts her on the covers of Bazaar Jewelry (sold here). It’s my favorite yet, since it actually does the actress justice and shows off her intensely alluring and elegant beauty.
I came across a feature on Lin Gengxin for a watch magazine called Perfect Time, and it’s amusing how their roles have interchanged because she is a princess while he comes off more casual and preppy.
Last but not the least is Olivia Wang from the recently ended Ode to Joy Season 2. I was really excited to share the photos because I thought that it was a spread of all the five ladies, but just her front and center is well-worth appreciating too. I love the color palette that they used.
