Guilty of Mind 心理罪 is a psychological thriller starring Li Yi Feng (Sparrow), Liao Fan and Wan Qian (God of War). It is based on the famous novel Evil Minds written by Lei Mi 雷米 and is expected to put audiences in heightened suspense through high doses of action.
Liao Fan plays the role of chief police officer Tai Wei who is faced with an unusual series of murder cases. He seeks the help of the main protagonist Fang Mu, played by Li Yi Feng, and they end up becoming partners.
Fang Mu is a young and talented criminal profiler with a gift for predicting criminal minds, decoding mysteries and understanding the suspect’s motives. While investigating the serial killings, Fang Mu’s past traumatic experiences become entangled with the murder cases and he struggles internally. Will he succeed in putting the killer behind bars or will he lose himself in the process?
With a movie like this, I’m expecting the unexpected and looking forward to the rush of trying to put pieces together and finding meaning in the cases. It’s a movie that encourages us to think outside the box, yet it is also an emotional ride.
