I wasn’t planning to write another post on Stairway to Stardom 逆袭之星途璀璨 but it is so glitzy and glamorous that I ended up writing one anyway. The latest concepts are inverted posters this time because you know, it’s a show about turning your fate around and reaching for the stars.

Push Puttichai Kasetsin plays Duan Cheng Xuan, the acting president of Star Entertainment which makes him in effect, Su Cheng’s boss. He is the leading man that will have some growing up to do because in spite of his accomplishments, he is immature, arrogant and headstrong. He definitely has a charming side though.

Song Yi plays Su Cheng, an aspiring actress. She is beautiful and vivacious, kind and hardworking. She starts out as a personal assistant and slowly overcomes all obstacles in her journey to become a star.

Saixixi Yan Xi as Yan Chu Fei, a popular idol oozing with charisma. He receives a lot of love from fans but lives a life constantly under someone else’s control.

Zhong Dan Ni as Liu Meng Tian, one of Su Cheng’s good friends in the beginning. She comes from a lowly background but had big dreams and rises from an internet personality to star status.

Han Xue as Duan Ling Wei, Duan Cheng Xuan’s older sister. She is a top-notch manager of Star Entertainment and more specifically, Su Cheng’s manager. She is elegant, beautiful and a powerful woman. She wants her brother to end up with Su Cheng.

Hu Bing as Wang Si Qin, Duan Cheng Xuan’s competition. He is cunning, calculating and a fighter.

Zhao Jian as Ye Chen, Ye Qiao’s older brother. He is a top-rated stylist who has been sweeping awards inside and outside the country. In spite of his cool exterior, he is in reality a big softie and the best brother in the world. He cooks well too.

SNH48 Huang Ting Ting Stairway to Stardom

SNH48 Huang Ting Ting as Cheng Yu Rou, an A-list celebrity. She is Ye Chen’s ex-girlfriend and also Su Cheng’s biggest competition.

SNH48 Li Yi Tong as Ye Qiao, Su Cheng’s close friend and Ye Chen’s little sister. She was in the same talent competition as Su Cheng where she placed in second and she dreams of becoming a soulful singer. She is sweet, innocent and always remains true to herself. She wishes that her brother and Su Cheng can get together one day.
