Legend of the Naga Pearls 鲛珠传 is a Chinese fantasy adventure movie starring Darren Wang (Our Times), Crystal Zhang (Martial Universe) and Sheng Guansen (Cinderella Chef) as the three main protagonists. Veteran actor Simon Yam (Magic City) plays their villainous nemesis though you might have a hard time recognizing him under all the makeup.
It tells the story of a witty thief, a hardworking constable and a down-to-earth prince. Each of them are motivated by their own reasons but a chance encounter brings the unlikely group together and in spite of their initial distrust for each other, they learn to work together to stop a greater evil.
Since this is set in the fictional world of Novoland, it explores the complicated relationship between the winged tribe and the human tribe and highlights how trust, friendship and teamwork can trump differences.

Dear blogger,
This is one of the most disappointing posts on this site. When I glanced at the front page image, it gave me the impression of a movie adaptation of some sappy ancient China drama. Thus, I skipped out on the article entirely.
The reason I'm even reading this post is cuz I found out about it thru another channel.
The actual movie is nothing like the poster suggests. It's the equiv of China's The Hobbit or Lord of the Rings, whereas the frontpage image suggests some cheap Three Kingdoms knockoff. In other words totally misleading..
