Painting Heart Expert 画心师 is a Sohu web series about the struggle between two opposing schools of thought. Hua Xin practitioners are those that collect the pure sentiments of people after they learn to let go of their obsession. Yang Xin practitioners are those that collect the impure thoughts of people consumed by their own insecurities.
The premise is certainly too philosophical for my taste and the only reason it caught my attention is because of Zhu Xu Dan who played Xuan Nu in Ten Miles of Peach Blossoms. She was a loathsome then but she won me over as an actress.
The series stars Dylan Xiong Zi Qi from the Taiwanese boyband SpeXial, Zhu Xu Dan, Li Jun Chen, etc. The character are possibly one of the worst I have seen as of late and my interest level just fell a few notches more.
