I cannot tell you how excited I am for Disney’s live action remake of Beauty and the Beast. It is literally a childhood fairytale come true and with Emma Watson as Belle, there seems to be nothing more a fan can want or so I thought.
With promotions underway for the movie’s upcoming premiere on March 17, newer renditions of the theme song “Tale as Old As Time” are being released with a recent version sung by Ariana Grande and John Legend. I personally prefer the original by Celine Dion and Peabo Bryson but I am buzzing again with excitement over news of the Chinese version featuring Hebe Tian and Jing Boran.

On Feb. 23, the official music video for the Chinese title track was finally released and it is as classic Disney as it gets with a grand ball, a magical forest and a beautiful song about a timeless romance.
Taiwanese singer Hebe Tian is stunning as the princess while Chinese actor Jing Boran is gallant as her prince charming. If this were an actual movie, I know I would watch it but rather than oohing and aahing over the spectacular visuals, I am more hyped about Hebe lending her soulful voice to sing a much-loved classic. Believe me, I wasn’t exactly a fan of Jing Boran but for this music video, they were both perfect.
For those who don’t know, a live action remake of Mulan is happening as well!

Ah, the music is wonderful in any language, and you don't need to understand the words if you've watched the animated version uncounted times. 😉
That aside, Jing Boran looks a bit like a younger sister thought he just neeeeded a ponytail (I remember those days well);-)
Looking Forward to Mulan an hoping for good casting choices. And then we'll see…
