Tangren Entertainment continued its most popular franchise with Chinese Paladin 3 仙剑奇侠传3 and even follows it up with Chinese Paladin 5 this year, all of which are based on a role-playing game of the same name.
Chinese Paladin 3, which aired in 2009, is actually a prequel that is set fifty years before the events of the original. It revolves around Jing Tian, a happy-go-lucky nobody whose destiny is forever tied with Tang Xue Jian because of the jade pendants that they both possess and they embark on a journey together along with Xu Chang Qing, Zi Xuan and Long Kui, turning the unlikely set of friends into heroes.
In a way, Chinese Paladin 3 echoes the narrative, format and overall direction of its predecessor though most efforts seem to have gone towards visuals rather than plot development. I remembering skipping parts of the story out of boredom but powering through till the end for very superficial reasons, one that arises from an extremely good-looking ensemble cast starring Hu Ge, Yang Mi, Tiffany Tang Yan, Wallace Huo, Cecilia Liu Shi Shi, Yuan Hong and more.

You gotta watch this…all story how each of their past lives plays and give each character so much development.
Prince and his sister, the 2 lovers 3 time reincarnations, then the most powerful god demon fairy friendship.
The actions is very lacking but characters chemistry, ost, made series so memorable. Watched it several times already. Hu Ge really fits into wuxia and xian xia roles along with wallace and tang yan
