The Rhapsody of a Summer Dream 夏梦狂诗曲 is the first c-drama where Hans Zhang Han takes on the role of producer in addition to the leading role. It is an idol drama that follows a musical-theme starring the producer-actor himself along with South Korean actress Go Jun Hee as the leading lady. Also in the cast are Zhu Yi Long (Border Town Prodigal), Song Yi (Sparrow), Zhu Zi Xiao (Lucky Tianbao) and Andy Chen Yi (Princess of Lanling King).
The Rhapsody of a Summer Dream is based on a novel by Jun Zi Yi Ze 君子以泽 . It’s among the growing number of Chinese dramas that feature Korean stars. In fact, Zhang Han has a total of four such dramas having worked with Park Min Young, Choo Ja Hyun and Goo Hye Sun.
