Martial Universe 武动乾坤 is a 60-episode xuanhuan adapted from Wu Dong Qian Kun, the novel by bestselling author Tian Can Tu Dou 天蚕土豆 that was published in 2011 and viewed over 32 million times months after its release. Update: The series is split into season 1 and season 2 with 40 and 20 episodes respectively.
It tells an fantasy adventure that resonates with the male demographics born in the 70’s, 80’s and 90’s, which perhaps is due to its captivating underdog story about a young man under-appreciated by his own tribe who goes on an epic adventure after chancing upon a stone talisman that changes his life.
Novels with a huge fandom such as this usually invite overwhelming expectations, yet netizens seem to have given a big thumbs up to both Yang Yang and Crystal Zhang. Unfortunately, the initially positive response seem to have turned sour due to controversies surrounding the cast. Furthermore, filming had to be delayed after Yang Yang got injured.
It stars Yang Yang (Just One Smile is Very Alluring), Crystal Zhang (Go Princess Go), Wu Chun (Guardians of the Tomb), Wang Li Kun (The Gods), Ashton Chen (Son of Hero) and Liu Yan (Royal Highness). Fantasy dramas are a dime a dozen nowadays, but I have to admit, this one manages to look different with a very unique aesthetic.

I like them both but I kind of like Yang Yang more because he was so swoon-worthy in Just One Smile is Very Alluring. Hoping that it's good also:)
