I’m keeping this on my radar because of Chen Xiao and Ivy Chen Yi Han and hoping for some wacky interactions in a story that seems to be a load of fluff and cute. Yet underneath the light-heartedness is a man with a vengeance thus turning the rom-com into a melodrama?
Chen Xiao’s character is similar to someone with a perfect pitch except in the world of cookery, it makes more sense to refer to it as a perfect taste. Ivy Chen plays his leading lady who is an extraordinary chef as well.
I don’t know whether it makes sense to expect anything like Baker Kim Tak Goo or Master: God of Noodles but I bet there’s lots of finger-licking good food.
